Just to let you guys know-I haven't been around much because on top of the regular monotony of school I have step 1 of boards coming up in June. So, I've got studying on top of studying. Step 1 is kind of a big deal because it weighs heavily on which residency programs I can get into once I'm done with school. If you don't know how the system works, residency is where you pick which type of doctor you want to be. If you want to specialize or go for one of the easy big money (orthopedics, dermotology, ophthalmology) you have to good on Step 1. Luckily I only aspire to be a general practitioner, so as long as I pass first try I'm good to go. BUT I'd still like to keep my options open.
After I'm done with boards I start my clinical rotations which comprise the next two years of medical school. These will station me across different parts of Nebraska for weeks/months at a time, so I don't imagine I'll have much opportunity to play HL. I'll check in with the site now and again and keep in touch. I just want to say that it's been a pleasure playing with all of you over the years and I hope the clan continues to thrive!
